Look for a printer script for HP ( probably Hewelet Packard printer background printing script ) . Do a search ( what OS ? ) with Sherlock
to find HP background. Probably in scripts folder in preferences. Disable or remove it.

I am working with 8.0. Sherlock doesn't sound like something I have seen when looking around. Can you do a real dummy version of how to find this and disable it? Thanks.

OS 8.5 is the oldest I have mounted here. And it's been a long time since I used 8. Probably Command key and " F " will bring up search.( Find ) or access it in the file menu. Type in HP background. this shopuld tell you where it is located ( write down the path to make it easier to find )
Reboot with extensions off. Or reboot from a CD or floppy.

Open the folder name which you have written down. find the file ( script probably ) and drag it out ( to a storage folder or disk ) or select it and use the delete key ( if you have no HP printer ).

Now try to reboot to your full OS.
