My main machine is my PowerBook 520c with 20MB of RAM. It can do almost everything I want (slowly) except for the CD-ROM stuff. I use my PC a lot though because it has a CD-RW drive. I vastly prefer the Mac versions of SimAnt and SimFarm over the Win versions. Can the 1400 CD-ROM drive read CD-Rs? That's more important. As for the battery, I had a 520 with a working battery (30 minutes), but I'm guessing a 1400 with a working battery would be harder to find? I didn't think that any machine with a working battery would be harder to find than the 500 series. Thanks for your suggestions so far.
