Hmmmm, I've seen this expression ("Road Apple") a few times now, and
forgive me for my stupidity, but....I still don't know what it means. Can
you tell me, please?

You know those round, smelly things that turn up behind horses? A common name for them is road apples, which has been appropriated by the reviewers at Low End Macs <http://tinyurl.com/d53sa> for Apple's, er, less than stellar releases.

The 5300 is hobbled by it's design...dog slow, to say nothing of the bad, BAD design.
