I have no experience with the CB 33.6 silver. But, I've two systems with
the Global Village 56k. They are vastly superior to the two previous US
Robotics 56k units which I have since moved to my daughters two
PowerComp units.
Tech support, which was adequate with prior US Robotics Management,
become an infuriating, abomination since they were acquired by the much
hated 3 Com. (3 Com treats Mac owners with contempt, be it a modem or a
PalmPilot). I will have to confess, I've no experience with Global
village Tech support as, all I've ever owned, have been "Plug and Play",
right out of the box. Never a glitch and unlike US Robotics, these
modems have NEVER been the cause of my units being off line or dropping
a connection in the two years I've owned them. RHB
