The Powerbase model will only recognize a max of 32 MB in the first ram 
slot and will not run without ram in that slot. You can put in a 64 MB chip 
and you will still get only 32 MB of ram.

What I think can be most confusing is making sure you get the correct ram. 
There seems to be speculation on Power Computing machines as to what will 
work and what will not. In the end, using what Power said would work seems 
the best route. I think if you go to Otherworld Computing and go through 
the acceleration link it will list the proper ram for your machine. 
(www.owcomputing.com). At least it did for my Powerbase.
