Hmmm...the first thing that comes to mind is to ensure the new pram battery was installed correctly ...ie..that the + terminal matches that indicated on the battery bracket. Also, was the replacement battery new ? If you have access to a voltmeter, ensure that the battery is putting out 3.6v. And a side note on pram zapping via the command-option-P-R keys. Pram settings are stored in a mobo IC and divided into two 'levels'. The level that stores monitor settings is not cleared if pram zapping is invoked on restart, but only if invoked from cold startup.
