Really good advice. If you're not comfortable inside the box, have 
someone else do it for you. As Marty says, it's an easy job, but you do 
need to muck about inside a bit.

The difference is dramatic. I don't know of any other improvement that 
is so inexpensive and provides such a dramatic change.  After running 
the PTP with quieter fans, I find I am very disappointed in the noise 
level of my new MDD dual 867. The normal fan is about the sound level 
of the three original fans in the PTP, and when the large cooling fan 
kicks in , it rivals NASA's Ames wind tunnel.  <G>

Most likely. From the manufacturing standpoint there is a lot of 
benefit for using the same connector across the product line. It's one 
of two; 4 pin or 3 pin, so it really doesn't matter. Just unplug an 
existing fan to ID it and order the silencer fans with the appropriate 
connector.

I've yet to hear of anyone who has changed the OEM fans in Power 
Computing product, who was unhappy with the result.
