Andrew, I just noted that you are using a Kouwell I/O Flex 5-Port PCI USB 2.0 Host Controller.
I recall that another manufacturer (Belkin?), on its 4- or 5-port USB PCI cards, said in its specs that it required at least a B&W G3. I asked the list a year or two ago about this, and received confirmations from others that indeed, that card wouldn't work in a Power Computing machine.
