I've used just about every single version of Netscape, both on OS7/8/9 and OSX, and haven't had these problems. May I suggest that you go into your address book in v4.06 and do an export (if that option is there!) to an .LDIF file. The .LDIF file can then be imported into a newer version. > I'll appreciate all suggestions. I'll try this one. The actual address book should reside in the pab.na2 file in the System Folder/Preferences/Netscape Users/Your Name and either in that immediate hierarchy or in the Mail folder, which can also be imported into a newer version of Netscape. > Over the years, I've gone through three NS upgrades, that I can remember. This has left me with quite a few totally obscurely labeled files, at least two of them contain different address data. So if Netscape creates a new address book in my Preferences, for a new version install, what does it call that new address book file? It's the second one that I have not been able to find - in the Preferences, or the Netscape folder. I hope I explained the mess I have.
