Perhaps as a work around you could do a "clean install" of OS 9.2.2 on a different Mac using the option for a "universal system" installation. Then copy that system folder to the clone and reinstall apps. It's a long shot, but it's all I can think of....

Sometimes the system disks get "outdated" and don't work with certain system enablers already on the machine. But that only goes for Apple Macs, not clones...

However, I can assure you that simply copying the System Folder off the CD will not work. It is write protected and it knows when it's been copied. Been there done that. That will not boot when this action is taken.

I am tempted to just drag over the new system, finder, extensions and control panels to see it that will work.

Whaddaya think... or does anyone have a patch or go around?
