The original Bondi iMac was the first Mac with USB it shipped with 8.1. That's the first time they supported USB to my knowledge. Of all the versions of 8, 8.6 seems to be the most stable.Hi Jack, What is the lowest OS version to support USB 1.1?
Since you want both USB and Firewire I would look for a copy of 9.1. (That's the last version of 9 that will run on a PTP without a hack). Beyond that use OS 9 Helper to let you run 9.2.2
