The current G3 you have should be plenty for surfing since you're
staying in OS 9. A better video card would probably help though, if you
still have the stock one. I'd personally recommend the original Mac
Radeon PCI, which seems to run about $30-$35 on eBay right now. It
should be more than enough for surfing and such.

Thanks Aaron: Yes, I run just the browser when surfing and I've
updated my
Powerbase to the max ram, 160mb (new ram). I'm still trying to figure
out
whether upgrading the graphics card will help speed up my surfing, or
if anyone has
other suggestions.

Subject: Powerbase Graphics Card?
I've had a burning video card question for a while as well. I have a
Powerbase 180 upgraded with a Powerlogix G3 card running at 450mh and
using
OS9.2.2
(via OS9Forever) and 160mg ram. I have a cable modem but find surfing
sorta
slow
(I've confirmed with the cable company that the up/download speed is
working
"normally"---they say it's my computer slowing things down). I still
have
whatever graphics card was installed originally in the computer.
Would I get
faster web performance if I upgraded the graphics card? If so, any
recommendations?
I've tried upgrading drivers, but that didn't work.
Do you run more than just the browser when you're surfing? If so, have
you
tried adding more RAM?

Thanks,
Harry
