Liam,
Your request is a bit vague... What is working, what is not, what do
you think is supposed to be happening? Typically the PCI based CPU
cards are pretty interchangeable. If you throw in a newer faster
processor they typically work fine without too many extension
conflicts. Is your machine not booting? Does it make the correct
chime? Does the fan power on, does the caps lock work? What is the
problem?
Greg
Hi All,
Pardon the interruption into the thread, but I have a
technical issue that needs to be resolved and I have
been unable to do it alone.
I have a PC PTP 225 and I recently upgraded my memory
and tried to upgrade the processor with a Sonnet
Crescendo G3 500MHz / 1MB PCI card.
My problem seems to lie in the PC accepting the card.
I have followed the Trouble Shooting guide (
accomplishing the steps, checking for extensions and
enablers in proper folders, checking memory
interleaving,...etc. So far nothing I have done has
changed the system. I am still running Mac OS 9.0.4
and have all the current updates.
I looked around the web site but have been unable to
locate any hints. Has anyone else had this problem? If
this is a often asked question or sounds simplistic,
please forgive me. I am a newbie to this forum.
Thanks in advance for your help & efforts.
Liam
PS: Sorry, I am unable to help out Carlos. All I have
is a CD from PC for Mac OS 8.0. =(
