This may have less to do with *mixing* than with using EDO DIMMs at
all...they are not to be used in the 7200... this is the only 7xxx PowerMac
where EDO
won't work and may cause damage, IIRC. See the Apple Memory Guide(1.6mb) at
<ftp://ftp.usask.ca/pub/mirrors/apple/Macintosh/Utilities/Apple_Memory_Guide_10-9
9.pdf>, and see <http://www.oempcworld.com/support/Mac_Memory_Explained.htm
>, "Mac Memory Explained", which states:

"Power Macintosh Computers that CANNOT use EDO memory-

You cannot use EDO DIMMs in the Power Macintosh 7200 computer. Using EDO
memory in the Power Macintosh 7200 computer can cause damage to the logic board
and to the DIMMs. Because of this, Apple does not support using EDO memory in
the Power Macintosh 7200 computer. Any damage incurred from using EDO memory in
the Power Macintosh 7200 computer may not be covered under Apple Computer's
limited hardware warranty. EDO RAM has not been tested, and has not been
certified or is supported by Apple in the Workgroup Server 9150/xx series
computers.
