For the other side of the argument see "Reply-To Munging Considered Useful" <http://marc.merlins.org/netrants/reply-to-useful.html> However, the situation is that many lists (unlike this one) do not set the reply-to header so that messages go back to the list. So regardless of our personal preferences for list behaviour, it would be useful to have a Reply to List option for when we have to deal with lists which don't set the reply-to header. I know we can use Reply to All and delete all the recipients except for the list, but it would be nice to have a shortcut. What would be really nice IMO is a preference option so that any reply to a list message is automatically directed to the list, regardless of whether the reply-to header has been set to do this. The good thing about a preference option is that we don't have to remember to select Reply to List whenever we reply to a list message, and it's optional (if you don't like it you don't have to use it).
