Unfortunately, there are two ways to run a mailing list - setting reply- to or not. Both have their advantages, both their disadvantages, their pros and cons. Personally, I prefer lists setting reply-to as it saves me the duplicate mails from the lazy people who just use "reply to all" on lists that don't set the reply-to header, defend that list mode vigorously when discussion comes up every few months, but don't even think about taking their time to edit the recipients list to remove the original sender's address (so he doesn't get duplicates) - an attitude which I actually consider somehow rude. :-/ Anyway, a "Reply to list" command that does the right thing for both of these list running modes automatically would be highly appreciated here - especially if this handling would automatically kick in on doing a simple "Reply". In short: 1. Add a setting "[ ] Reply to list for mailing list messages" in PM preferences. 2. When user hits reply, PM determines whether the email to reply to is a list message. If it is, it looks for the list post address in the email headers (if present), and uses that address to reply to. If it cannot determine the post address in some way, it does exactly function as it has up to now. First, it's a preference. If not checked, PM behaves as usual. Second, it eases handling of list replies for people who read non-reply- to-setting lists and who actually are aware of the fact that they are replying to, well, a list (as the main reason for not wanting to set reply-to is "you might be thinking you are replying only to the sender and not be aware you are on a list") and that the reply goes to the list (and the list ONLY), unless they take specific action to send a private message. Regards, Christian.
