I believe that PowerMail Engineering has taken the blame for this bug. No matter what Mail is doing, PowerMail intends to display email message text only once. I believe that this bug in PowerMail, which in my experience only appears in emails from people using Mail, is already on Jerome's project list, and was actually intended to be resolved by the time 5.1 was released. ---Jay
