I had many problems synching my PowerMail and Apple Address Book when I
first began using PowerMail. I found things more stable and correctly
maintained when I chose to have PowerMail update it's address book
information from Apple's Address Book, but not update any information to
Apple's Address Book. I prefer Apple's AB and use AppleScripts, QuicKeys
and copy/paste to bypass having any use for the PM AB at all.

When I spoke of my problems with the PM AB, there were many who were
perfectly content with the synchronization, so maybe they will speak up
and let you know their current satisfaction.

I'm already dealing with keeping Apple's AB up-to-date with Palm Desktop
for my Palm until Apple's iSync becomes reliable enough to dump Palm
altogether. I use Palm memos frequently and don't want another third-
party option for syncing this data so the lack of that with the iCal/AB
combo is a deal breaker, although I really love iCal's GUI. I count on my
addresses in my Palm PDA so I can have it when mobile without my
PowerBook; I consider the contact data in my computer as the backup. But
then, I do have my contact data spread over text documents, vCards, AW
databases, and FM Pro databases as well as PD, AB and PM. I keep hoping
that "some day" keeping my contacts in one single desktop application
will not only be a reality but will be much less work for me. (Then I
probably wouldn't know what to do with the time saved from frequently
tweaking AppleScripts, databases, and multiple copies of all this
information for backup.)
