This behavior is actually one of the weakest points in PowerMail.
Especially when on road in hotels with flaky phone lines it happens often
that a mail doesn't get through. What PowerMail doesn't do though is to
simply try again next time I do a "send and receive all" which I consider
a major design flaw.

Happened to me a couple of times that I just didn't notice and forgot to
manually cause the outgoing messages to be (actually) sent next time I
was online.

And (you may want to try this): The only way I got reliable behavior was
to set the failed outgoing messages to draft and then simply send them again.

It's a bit sad that an email application like PowerMail that otherwise
has many brilliant qualities and features is so weak when it comes to
actually sending emails.
