This means the message(s) was/where NOT sent. As the problem seems not resolved (they return to the triangle flag after new send attempt) these messages never have been sent.
What MIGHT be the problem is that on this account on which you are trying, you need to FIRST choose to GET messages (check, connect, whatever you want to name it) and right after seeing that this has occurred, send the messages . It has something to do with authentication, by first checking that mailbox (even if it is empty), you're being authenticated and then mail sent through that account right after will be accepted. To have this work, you will first need to reset those failed messages to WAITING.
