It doesn't solve the problem, so it's clearly not useful.

HTML mails are a fact of life for many people that, unlike myself are
unable to choose to filter them out completely - due to company policy or
to peer pressure, whether you or I like it or not. The issue is also not
HTML mail or not, but how CTM and the affected PM community wants to deal
with it, as non spam HTML messages are here and growing. They exist and
putting our collective heads into the sand won't get them out of the way.
A builtin filter that could turn HTML to pure text without the fuss of
the scripting alternatives there are now would potentially get them out
of the way for PM users at least.

I have no problem with HTML messages myself as I mostly filter those out,
but I do think the situation with displaying HTML and not being able to
make a normal reply like with pure text is a bit unnecessary. Much better
to optionally get rid of the HTML all together while keeping the actual
message. Just like we know have spam handling built-in, with some help
from Spamsieve and others, I'd like to see the same done for handling
HTML messages and turning them optionally into pure text. That would be
handling the problem while maintaining the pure text centric idea of
PowerMail.

No, it's not. If you can't take the "whining", that I refer to as
constructive criticism, then take your own advice and unsubscribe.

CTM have not presented any plans not to implement the possibility to copy
HTML text nor have they debunked the idea to have the capability to turn
HTML to pure text built-in. That is the issue, which you seem to have
lost track of in your egocentrism and rage. It's perfectly valid to
discuss those issues without having to be attacked for "not understanding
the way of PowerMail". You seem to be think you're the only one that
understands (or even have the right to) the future of both Email and the
application PowerMail. You're clearly do not. You better get used to
hearing other people voicing their opinion in spite of your attempts to
silence them.
