I'm using Mac OS 10.3 and PowerMail 4.2.1 What I want to do is to archive my chinese correspondence. The messages are UTF-8 encoded.
Unfortunately I tried all export formats of the File/Database/Export menu (save selected messages option) and no one can keep the chinese characters (I tried to read the archive files with TextEdit). I can save the messages with the File/Save as text file menu entry and read the text file with TextEdit but I can't do that with the export formats described above. I don't want to save file by file the messages (I write/receive such messages in chinese on a daily basis), so the File/Save as text option is not workable for me.
