Hi, I'm having a problem with some attachments not opening properly when double-clicked in the bottom preview pane. I don't know if this is a feature, a bug or whether I've missed some PM setting somewhere, but it is a big nuisance as I get a lot of mail with attached documents.
The problem occurs with attachments that have a long file name - the name then gets truncated, and without its proper extension the file is not recognised by my word processor. When that happens I have to open my Mail folder, find my Attachments folder, open that, then add the appropriate extension (eg. "doc") to the file then it will open. Does anyone know how to prevent PM chopping up attachment file names. If there isn't a way, I hope PM will address this issue in a future update as it is really annoying. I'm using PM 4.2.1 on Mac OS 10.2.6 (downgraded from 10.2.8 after issues with audio apps and waiting for dust to settle on Panther) Patrick
