Char length is often implemented by the application so it would be a feature request, I'd guess. Down grading OSX is not something you can do to my knowledge. By the way, I have been using Panther with DP, Logic (not really), Spark, Mach5, MIO 2882+DSPs and ULN-2, and all the Waves and WaveArts. I have not encountered any show-stopper problem to finish two paid jobs so far. iLock bit me once, tho.
