I am not the best person to answer for such a big database as I keep mine below 20 mb.
But 20 mb takes about 5 minutes to do the low level rebuild on my 350 mhz powerbook. I had a problem like this and moved the corrupted database to another computer and started a new one on my primary computer. I was able to open the corrupted database on the other machine with no problem and then transfer the messages to FileMaker with eMA. But I never have had such a big PowerMail database.
