It appears to happen with all attachments. As a test I just created a new
TextEdit file and saved it to my desktop, the problem still occurred. If
I stuff a file first and then add it as an attachment with the stuffit
check-box unselected it gets sent fine.

I have Stuffit Deluxe 7.0.3 installed and PM 4.1.3

I trashed all stuffit files before reinstalling

Yes, there is a "Send a message to Powermail support..." option

Thanks for your suggestions and to everyone else too, but I'm no nearer a
solution. Any other ideas gratefully received.
