Oh, wait. I'm only using PowerMail v5.2.2. I thought I had the latest. So this might be some change in the OS or a supporting thing which is causing it then. Since the problem is showing up in both 10.4.11 and 10.5.1 (at least) it must be some supporting bit which hasn't been updated in a while?
