I've found that keeping the mail item in PM or webmail doesn't always keep all the info needed to reproduce the problem.
Apple's "Mail" does seem to keep it all. You can use Message->Forward as Attachment or View->Message->Raw Source to get the full message as received. That might be more helpful.
