The Duke fleet has an in-house radiography group. They may supplement with contractors and are responsible for all aspects of their time from arrival on site through out-processing.
RP is heavily involved in all aspects of the radiography operation. RP Supervision reviews boundary maps, walks down the area, and determines search criteria. RP helps prepare the pre-job brief. RP Supervision conducts the pre-job with RT. RP must concur with the source retraction verification method. RP Management verifies (IV) the boundary. RP also participates in the search. RP then provides oversight during the shot itself. RP has a lock on the source cabinet. Who, or what group, is responsible for the control of radiographers at your station (e.g. coordinating their arrival on-site, ensuring training is done, responsible for work order preparation, etc.)? Is RP responsible for this? Is RP only responsible during radiography operations? (e.g. verify boundaries, prohibiting access to area, etc.) Thank you, Scott Huneycutt Xcel Energy | Responsible By Nature Health Physicist Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant 2807 West County Road 75, Monticello, MN 55362 P: 763.295.1380 F: 763.295.1225 E: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> ________________________________________________ XCELENERGY.COM<http://www.xcelenergy.com/> Please consider the environment before printing this email
