HNP, we have spoke with River Technologies on this including using the
pre-filter shielding box. The technology seems ok but I have been to plants
that use de-ionizers to trap the material which becomes a huge dose source. We
always require vendors to have vacuum box attachments at the pinch wheel
locations where the vacuum hose takes away the material immediately to a remote
vacuum therefore not creating another source of dose on platform.

Subject: Powernet: S/G Inline Filter

Just wanted to know if anybody has used the new pre-filter
inline trap when performing Eddy Current activities. The trap is placed in line
with the probe vacuum cleaners, and is from River Technologies.
If so what did you or do you think about it?
Is there dose problems associated with changing out the filter?
What about added dose for disposal?
Did or do you have problems with loading and flow creating frequent
filter changes?
                                                                        Thanks
                                                                            Ron
