Columbia Generating Station response:
1) We use EDPS (Emergency Dose Projection System) and QEDPS (Quick EDPS), a
customized version of RASCAL 2.0 developed by PNNL.
2) Currently in the process of changing to the Unified RASCAL Interface
software developed by Exelon/Entergy.
3) Change will upgrade us to RASCAL 4.x.

Subject: Powernet: Dose Assessment Software

Duke Energy would appreciate any information you would provide on the following
questions:

1) What software dose your site/EOF use for off-site dose assessment to
the public (e.g., RASCAL, RADDOSE, MIDAS, home grown, etc.)?

2) Has your site/company changed to a different software within the
previous 2 years?

3) IF the answer to question 2 is yes, would you briefly state why the
change was made?

Thanks in advance for your time.
