SONGS allows workers to monitor personal
articles in SAM-9 and SAM-11 tool monitors under limited supervision by
HP. We have had occasions where workers place material in the monitors,
and do not push the start button, or place items in the SAM during a background
count. While an attentive worker can observe fault messages, it appears
the messages from the SAM-11 are less distinct than those produced by the
SAM-9. Some workers have passed items through SAM-11s without an
actual count.
Does anyone else have similar experiences?
