Palo Verde provides the following response:

At Palo Verde dosimetry (TLD and electronic dosimeter) is worn in a Whirlpak
bag while inside posted CAs. When workers undress / exit the Containment
Building CA they place their dosimetry on a tray next w/ frisker to the SOP.
For all other contaminated area exits, workers place their dosimetry on the
SOP. After area exit, workers pick up their dosimetry and go to the nearest
frisker to check for contamination. Workers either go thru a PCM (Containment
Building exit) or perform a whole body frisk. In all situations, after exiting
a contaminated area all workers are required to exit the RCA thru the PCM and
portal monitors

Subject: Powernet: ED removal at SOP

Quick benchmark question from Columbia:

When workers exit contaminated areas at a SOP, are they trained to place the ED
on the SOP, in the hardhat, or is it clipped directly back onto the lanyard
without setting it down. Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Michael Kinmark
