Palo Verde provides the following response: During initial and annual WBC, an EPD hearing test is administered.
This is done in an office environment. Surprisingly, we have a number of folks who cannot hear the EPD under these conditions and we require that they wear an iPAM-Tx for all RCA entries. We have had our industrial safety personnel perform detailed noise analysis of areas in the plant where high noise and high radiation exist. When personnel require entry into these areas we require the enhancement device (iPAM-Tx) and further, we have procedural requirements that review high noise areas, frequency of looking at secondary dosimeters, worker self-monitoring, etc. Seth ********************************************************************** Seth J. Any information on your process would be most appreciated.
