I've been running this way for a week or so and not much in the logs :S

Perhaps I should look into patching metalog. It seems I may be missing more 
than I know. I will look into it. Metalog seems to be either stopped or slow 
upstream. I looked into syslog-ng, but it doesn't have the features I like in 
metalog.
