Title: Introduction

Hello Everyone,

I’m just joining the list and wanted to introduce myself. I’m a freelance journalist currently based in Seattle — I primarily write and report for magazines and public radio, but still photography has long been an interest for me, and recently I’ve been trying to hone my technique and skill so I can integrate it more consistently into my professional work. I shoot 35mm at the moment and scan the film, though I may explore shooting digitally at some point. I’m also starting to work with quadtone B&W printing.

I’m not sure how much people usually say about themselves in these introductions, so I’ll stop there for the moment.

By the way, I’m in the process of starting a Web magazine with the theme of “outsiders” and “people living elsewhere” -- refugees, dissidents, exiles, nuts... and if anyone has some quality work that fits in with those themes and would like someplace online to show it, please contact me. I have no money to offer — I’m just doing this for the hell of it — and you’d maintain all rights.
