Hi , Having used the D1X pretty much daily since it first came out (about a
year ?) , mainly in jpeg and tiff mode , shooting around 200 or more images
, the only problems I have had similar to yours have been once when the
microdrive was very full , a few files copied over corrupted . Lost images
through stupidly switching the camera off whilst images were still in buffer
ram . And had a microdrive go down ,

I would think its more to do with the storage device than the camera .

Inserting and exerting the drive whilst the camera is on occasionally
changes the language to Japanese and resets the 'counter' which is a real
pain . Apparently Nikon have a fix for this , if only I had the time to get
the camera to them!

Hope this helps

Janus
