We installed digital cromalin here at the beginning of 2001. It solved
overnight all the problems we had encountered since starting to shoot
digitally in the mid 1990's.

For years we had been involved in all the usual arguments (well documented
on this list by many people) between us, the client, and the repro houses
about why the print job didn't look like expected.

Now that we supply a cromalin with all our files, we have never had a repro
company come back to us and question the images in any way, and the final
print job looks exactly like our cromalin.

That said, we output to a cromalin AQ printer, and I know you can buy
Photographers Cromalin software to output on Epson devices. As we have never
used it in that configuration, I can't comment on whether that set up would
deliver equal benefits.
