When I got a similar Macally scroll-wheel mini-mouse for my PB I had to
download a Mac OS driver from the manufacturer's site in order to use all
it's features including speed adjustments - otherwise it was just a dead
slow mouse.

Perhaps you need to do same from Targus. Or perhaps it is only Windows
compatible. Have you checked?
