<VBG> - what can I say? True words indeed. Although I feel that I have
improved slightly over time in regard to this. It's just that I hate to lead
people astray by no mentioning something critical, and there are so many
critical points and concepts to mention (it seems with computer graphics
it's more what is not said that is critical - you have to learn to read
between the lines in a big way!).

The old post Shangara copied is a 'snapshot in time' from a year or two ago
I would guess...today I would hope that my post would be slightly different
(or at least shorter <g>). But when it comes to the monitor compensation
issue I have not changed my mind. Keep it _on_ unless you are into a very
specific web or multimedia production and you can't configure Photoshop to
work with the other non ICC savvy software. Off hand I can't think of a
compelling reason to go back to the v4 non ICC savvy workflow.

Stephen Marsh.
