If you cant stump up nearly double for the D1x or the new kodak....
One guy here does some stuff at weekends (mad eh?) has had the S1 for over a year and thought it was pretty good until he got his S2 he's very pleased and thats after using a 3020 all day, just be aware that some lenses are just not suitable for digital cameras (there is a website somewhere where some guy has tested ALL the available lenses) and that some S2's seem to have had some sharpness issues, so test it and if it aint up to scratch throw it back at them.
I'm sure that plenty of listees would do an image quality appraisal for you.
