Until the Kodak 14n was announced I was about to get a Fuji as well but the
Kodak has got to have the edge when it comes to the client on a job saying
"Oh actually we'll be running this lot A3 across 2 pages and we'll need some
mugshots taken out of the main group shots for the profiles page."

The GBP can't really be the issue - ok so the Kodak costs twice as much as
the Fuji but that just means it'll take 2 months of digital charges to pay
off instead of 1. The 14n, as you'll know, is set for release in December
so that effectively means they'll be widely available in the Spring.

Are you likely to lose clients because you continue to provide them with
film for another few months? Personally I keep asking mine if they want it
shot digitally and the answer is always no - I'm only looking at a dig.
camera now to take the unreliable labs out of the loop. If you're doing
lots of spec. work and throwing bucket loads of money at labs though there's
one good reason to get the S2 now.

& BTW I'd keep the film kit & offer the choice: I took a job off a client's
usual snapper a few months ago because he only shoots dig. & said client was
afraid the quality might not be good enough for their annual report (times
change but the Brits are inherently conservative).
