That sounds a possible solution as long as one owns the camera! What
happens if the camera is sold on, lost, damaged, dies etc. and the
working camera can no longer be produced. Can the EXIF info in a file be
changed by someone else, who has the file, to make it look like it is
their image?

Just a thought.
