Another alternative is to seal the CD in a jiffy-bag with your signature written over the flap - then send it to yourself by Registered Post. When it arrives - don't open it. No one can argue with a Post Office date stamp. If I remember correctly, a SCSI to SCSI CD burn, makes a mirror copy of the original.
