Hi all
I just had to help a client rescue an attachment (from his client - not
me) that Outlook Express (win) had decided might be a virus. I'm not
sure whether the attached file was a jpeg or a gif, but it had been
created on a Mac and my client had previously had similar problems.
There is a setting in OE 6 under tools/options/security "do not allow
attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".
When this was switched off the attachment re-appeared.
What is about a Mac file that Microsoft have decided might make it a
security risk - or is it just a dastardly plot from Bill Gates :-)
I'm just interested to know what the difference is between a PC jpeg
(or gif) and a Mac that causes this.
