Don't have an idea if you have already tried and dismissed this one, but for me , it is in the forefront in my battle against spam and junk e-mail. It's called POPmonitor. You can get it from www.versiontacker.com. The downloadable version let's you try the software , which checks your e-mail server( maximum 2 accounts in trial ) at user-specified intervals, and lets you decide wether to accept the incoming message delete it, define a filter, block ( or trust) the sender forever, bounce messages to invading a...holes, well before downloading the messages to your machine. The trial version lets you set a( limited) number of filters and block a limited number of senders for two e-mail accounts, but let's you test the usefulness of the app. You pay the fee ( it's a Dutch fellow) and then you get the serial number, and then you set unlimited filters, and can block unlimited senders for multiple accounts. I have it running in the background and checking all 4 accounts ( my wife's included) every 30 minutes. I keep blocking new spammers, almost on a daily basis ( much more now with Christmas coming), but I feel so happy to see the app getting ,say 25 messages in this account ( Which I use for all the forums, and is therefore fully contaminated with spam from the US, Europe and Korean/Japanese Crap) and deleting 19 of them before reaching my machine, I can't be more satisfied. blocked senders and filters do apply to all accounts. BTW, you get both OS9 and OSX versions working with the same serial number. There are other apps like this, but this one is fast, effective and is not expensive. Get rid of Viagra offers , corean sex shops, christmas toys, all kind of viruses and the like for good.
