Dear Listees

I am just coming to the end of a very tiring week, this being the second week that we have been operating the 'no email addresses' regime.

The 38 emails I have had to stop work to write to people so far this week who have not complied with the list owner's directive leads me to ask the question, is this really all worth it? Personally I hate having to pull over people for what on the face of it is a very trivial point.

This directive of not including email addresses in postings is obviously tripping up a lot of good people and frankly one does have to ask the question....Does having an Archive really warrant this level of aggravation? The list owner made the directive for very valid reasons which I am sure most of us support, but is the price worth paying? Who is using the archive, is it really of value to listees?

Can we have a brief discussion of this 'on list' rather that replying privately so that we can give it a good public airing? Next week's list mum may want to curtail it so please take this opportunity <BG>

Many thanks to all who have tried to co-operate this week.

Cheers
