Nick,
I prefer to shoot in Adobe RBG and, as you suggest, convert to CMYK
within Photoshop. The results are indeed superior, plus you have the
ability to utilize the PhaseOne demoire filter which is only usable
in RBG. And third reason to shoot in RBG is the ability to use the
RBG file for direct output to an injet printer or photo lab. I turn
sharpening off in PhaseOne and use unsharp mask or other alternative
sharpening techniques in photoshop. I have found many instances where
sharpening may not be nesessary at all. Why can't you turn sharpening
off in PhaseOne Capture? Hope this helps.
