I've just been looking on the Apple site about the 'flashing question mark' and they say: "Typically blinking question marks are caused by: damaged or missing System Software SCSI configuration issues third-party software conflict unusable PRAM damaged hardware" They also say: "One of the factors that causes a flashing question mark is an unusable PRAM or logic board setting. Steps to resolve this include resetting PRAM by holding down the Command-Option-P-R keys as the computer starts up. If this does not resolve the situation, you can remove the logic board battery for 10 minutes. This should only be done by an Apple Authorized Service Provider since damage to the logic board is possible if not done properly." You probably know this stuff already, but it occurs to me that, before taking it to be repaired, you might try zapping the PRAM and also try starting up with all peripherals unplugged? Sorry I can't be more help; hope it goes well for you. -- best wishes Paul http://www.paulbradforth.com =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
