The tone or contrast settings increase in contrast from ORG to STD to HARD The colour saturation increases from ORG to STD to HIGH. With both controls I only use the ORG settings and do no correction (except to adjust wobbly exposure) when outputting to Fuji Frontier prints. For output for offset purposes I do spread the Levels and increase the contrast in Curves on flatter subjects. The HARD tone & HIGH colour settings are too brutal for mine. Regarding the battery / tethered use: The S1 worked without the lithium 123s (using a placebo in their place to route the AA power to the camera functions). The S2 will also work without the lithiums, but it will not complete a capture when tethered and running on mains supply. I would like it to run all functions from the mains.
